European Theater of Operations (ETO)

Het European Theater of Operations – ETO for short - is the term used by the United States during WWII to refer to all US operations north of the Mediterranean.

Every US soldier who served in Europe during World War II received the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal.
